Me Aurélien Stettler studied at the universities of Lausanne and St. Gallen. He obtained his PhD in contract law (2008) and passed his bar exams in 2009 after an internship at SJA Avocats.
Me Stettler’s main activity is to represent his clients before the civil and criminal courts, as well as before the administrative authorities.
Through his career, he has acquired leading experience in the areas of criminal procedure, economic criminal law (“white collar”) and international mutual legal assistance as a clerk at the Federal Criminal Court in Bellinzona.
In addition to his practice, Me Stettler has been teaching at the Faculty of Law of the University of Fribourg for many years and has participated in the publication of various commentaries and articles in the field of criminal law and mutual legal assistance. He has also been a member of the Swiss military justice system since 2007 and is currently serving as President of the Military Court of Appeal.
He practices in French, German, English and Italian.
